Life as a mom who has her hands full
In this day of environmentally friendly products, advertising, and marketing, no doubt your children are going to be a bit more eco conscious than we were in the 70’s and 80’s. Most of us are already recycling and trying to save gas, but there are plenty of little things you can do to not only save the environment, but also make YOUR life a little easier. Today’s tip is about going green and making your LIFE a little easier. Whenever you check your mail, chances are it is 90% full of JUNK MAIL. Junk mail has become a silent enemy, polluting not only our junk yards but also our homes. Problem is, that once junk mail enters the home, it never leaves, cluttering drawers and counterspaces and making our comfortable homes seem “messy” and ” cluttered”. Most of us have very little time to devote to keeping our houses from getting cluttered. But what if you could eliminate the junk mail all together and only receive the items you need?
Great news…you can
Most Americans receive more junk mailers in their mailbox than bills. Every time I go to the mailbox I pitch more than half of its’ contents in the recycling bin before I even enter the house. In addition to being wasteful, junk mail is just plain irritating. You could continue to pitch your junk mail in the recycling bin every day, or you can take it one step further and register with www.dmaconsumers.org. You can remove your name from mail, email and telephone marketing lists as well as manage which ones you would still like to receive.
